China’s box office remained firmly in the grip of 'Ne Zha 2,' which continued its extraordinary run, grossing $152.9 million over the weekend.

Ne Zha 2 beat Inside Out 2 to become the highest grossing animated movie of all time just last week, but it has now broken yet another record.

Notably, Ne Zha 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film in IMAX history, surpassing The Polar Express by a whopping 69%. Despite the continued success of As One Production's Detective Chinatown 1900 and Fantawild Animation's Boonie Bears 11, Ne Zha 2 has left little room for competition.
