A wildfire burning near Boise has grown to over 2,000 acres since it started in the early morning hours Friday.

The Valley Fire is located off Highway 21 and Highland Valley, about one mile east of Boise on the north side of the highway.

The Bureau of Land Management, and other local agencies, responded to a fire early Friday morning just east of Boise.

This does not mean it's time to evacuate - Boise Fire is just asking that residents are ready if the fire changes.
