Akron Mayor Shammas Malik said the city's police department will conduct an investigation into an incident on Wednesday when a student was punched in the head by the school resource officer.

An Akron school board member is calling for a review of policies after last week's forceful arrest of a high school student at Firestone.

The mayor on Monday said he found the video "upsetting." The officer is on administrative duty pending the outcome of a use-of-force investigation.
