Winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings were in place for seven states early Tuesday morning, with the National Weather Service forecasting up to 12 inches of snow for some parts of the country. What was a winter storm watch yesterday has since been upgraded to a winter weather advisory for the eastern San Juan Mountains. High passes such as Wolf Creek Pass are included in this advisory. Between now and 11 PM Thursday, accumulation amounts range from 6 to 12″.
