Wrexham summer signing Mo Faal was "buzzing" after scoring his first goal for the club as they beat Wolves Under 21s in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.

Wolves under-21s were beaten comprehensively at Wrexham in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. In a fairly subdued start to the game, Wolves were relatively comfortable in possession throughout the early stages. But a foul by Wes Okoduwa handed the hosts the chance to whip in a free-kick and Seb Revan’s cross was met by Mo Faal, who headed over.

Wrexham is the destination as Wolves under-21s play their second Bristol Street Motors Trophy group stage fixture on Tuesday evening.

Crewe Alexandra sealed progress to the knockout stages of the EFL Trophy with a squad containing 12 academy graduates.
