The Atlanta Falcons host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Thursday Night Football tonight, but the Falcons have officially ruled out linebacker Troy Andersen.

Falcons linebacker Troy Andersen won't be winning back-to-back NFC defensive player of the week awards. Andersen has been ruled out of Thursday night's game against the Buccaneers because of a knee injury.

Running back Bijan Robinson was limited due to a hamstring injury along with right tackle Kaleb McGary, who’s still recovering from a knee injury. Wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud (ankle) was also limited on Tuesday’s practice report.

Troy Andersen and Dee Alford are two-lesser known names around the NFL, but the Atlanta Falcons wouldn't have beaten the New Orleans Saints without them.

Andersen was arguably the team’s MVP of Week 4, recording 17 tackles (10 solo) and his first-career interception and touchdown. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris provided an update on Andersen’s status on Monday. “He’s hurting pretty good,” Morris told local reporters.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed muffed a Bradley Pinion punt inside the Saints 5-yard line and the ball caromed into the end zone. Falcons safety Micah Abernathy was there first, followed by wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge, who jumped on it for an Atlanta touchdown.
