Apparent tornadoes ahead of Hurricane Milton ravaged portions of southern Martin County Wednesday, tearing through roofs, downing trees and strewing debris onto roadways. A number of homes in the Country Club Cove community east of Southeast Dixie Highway and north of Southeast Cove Road sustained severe roof damage.
