Pro-Palestinian protesters assaulted an employee in a forced takeover of Milbank Hall at Barnard College late Wednesday as administrators warned additional steps may be needed to end the protest,

Pro-Palestine students forced their way into Barnard College’s Milbank Hall on Wednesday and allegedly assaulted a staff member, law enforcement sources reported. Dozens of mask-wearing students laid siege to the hall on Feb.

A group of masked demonstrators forcibly entered Milbank Hall and physically assaulted two employees, sending one to the hospital, according to reports, which noted some classes were canceled and walls were vandalized as the demonstrators issued demands.

It was the second time the Transport Workers Union called out Columbia University and its affiliates for not doing enough to keep its members safe.

Barnard College officials say pro-Palestinian protesters wearing kaffiyeh scarves and masks pushed their way into Milbank Hall, which houses the offices of the dean, and assaulted a school employee.

The anti-Israel activists reportedly occupied Barnard’s Milbank Hall for several hours and assaulted security guards, forcing the cancellation of classes.
