This year's best musical or comedy winner at the Golden Globes has been revealed. Some of 2024's biggest films were nominated in the category, and a lot of people had their money on Wicked being the movie to win. But Emilia Pérez was crowned as the winner, sparking some to argue that Wicked was 'robbed'.

Post-war epic The Brutalist and genre-shifting trans musical Emilia Pérez were big winners at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.The Brutalist won best drama film, as well as best director for Brady Corbet and best actor for Adrien Brody.

"You can put us in jail, you can beat us up, but you never can take away our soul, our existence, our identity."

The film won in four categories, including the final award of the evening, for best comedy or musical motion picture.
