Australia’s Megan Schutt became the leading wicket-taker in the Women’s T20 World Cup after removing Georgia Plimmer of New Zealand during their Group A clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Schutt has 44 wickets in 26 matches while South African pacer Shabnim Ismail picked 43 wickets in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Veteran Australian seamer Megan Schutt became the leading wicket-taker in the history of women’s T20 World Cups on a milestone night for the defending champions who continued a winning streak over New Zealand which stretches more than three years.

Australia continued their march towards a seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title with a crushing 60-run win over New Zealand in their Group A match in Sharjah on Tuesday. After posting a tournament high 8-148 in their 20 overs with Beth Mooney top-scoring with 40, Australia stifled the New Zealand batters who folded for just 88 in 19.2 overs.
