Southeast Texas has a 20% chance of cloud cover along the coast to near Houston. But chances for cloud cover rise to up to 40% north of Houston.

According to NASA, Houston-area residents could begin to see the moon’s transformation around 12:47 a.m. Friday until 3:10 a.m., with the totality of the eclipse occurring between 1:26-2:31 a.m.

Although clear skies during the day gave way to clouds ahead of a cold front, obstructing the view in Houston, many Texans still managed to capture impressive photos of the event.
