Delhi Police have apprehended three minors in connection with the murder of unani doctor Javed Akhtar. The conflict allegedly stemmed from a billing dispute and subsequent humiliation during treatment.

As per a PTI report, the main accused, aged around 16 years, after allegedly committing the crime uploaded a post on a social media platform with his photograph and a caption: "Kar diya 2024 mein murder" (Finally committed murder in 2024).

As the matter came to light, doctors' unions across the national capital expressed their grief and shock, stating that no healthcare professional will treat patients if their own safety is at risk.

After killing the doctor, the teenager allegedly posted a photo on social media with the caption, "Kar diya 2024 mein murder (finally committed murder in 2024)."

The teenager had gone to the three-bedded Nima Hospital in the Kalindi Kunj area for first-aid treatment, accompanied by a friend who is currently at large.

A 17-year-old was arrested for the murder of Dr Javed Akhtar, shot dead inside a Delhi nursing home, allegedly over a dispute regarding treatment fees. The second suspect, a 16-year-old, remains at large.
