WEBOct 9, 2023 · The shooting occurred around 12:34 am on Oct. 8 a couple miles northeast of campus during IUP’s Homecoming weekend. The mass shooting left 22-year-old Jamar Montae Porterfield Herriot Jr. dead and 8 others injured. The injured were aged between 19 and 22, with one from Chicago, one from Florida and the rest from Pennsylvania.
