WEBi think because rdr 2 is such a huge game it will take a lot of optimization to get stable 60fps @4k. there are tiny fps dips even on 30fps on ps4 version so i suspect 4k @30-45fps locked and 1080p@60fps performance mode is what will come. ps5 pro will handle 4k @60fps but ps5 fat/slim idk. WEBJan 1, 2022 · RDR2 on PS5. FAO PS5 owners. I’ll be grabbing my PS5 in a week or so. I just wanted to know from someone on here, how much better (or worse) is RDR2 visually on the latest gen consoles. I’ve watched a few vids on YouTube etc but you can never tell how genuine they are.

WEBNov 15, 2021 · The game on PS5 is running 1440p at 30fps but it looks awful nowadays. Could not agree more with this post. Rdr2 is literally my favourite but going back to it after playing some 60fps games it’s literally unplayable. I can get used to it in a couple of days but it’s awful when you first go back to 30fps.

WEBJun 7, 2022 · First of all you need a usb with at least a TB of storage. Plug it into your ps5 and install Rdr2 on that usb. After that. Remove the usb and put it into a laptop or pc. Go to the mod website and download the files, insert those files into the usb and put those files inside rdr2. Remove the usb and put it back into the ps5.

WEBNov 6, 2021 · PC is much better. Consoles look hella blurry. And consoles are stuck at a terrible 30FPS lock. You can at least adjust sharpening levels on PC to lessen the blur. I would not play mouse and keyboard with RDR2. Way too much navigation and walking around to be comfortable IMO.

WEBApr 1, 2024 · RDR2 released like a year before PS5 was announced. RDR2 didn’t have a fraction of GTAV’s sales and they basically left the online mode dead in the water and kept pure focus on GTA Online and development on GTA6.

WEBMar 19, 2024 · My 1080ti was getting 100fps in 2019 on rdr2. 60-80fps in 1440p and 40fps in 4k. The ps5 should easily be able to run this at 4k 60. Hopefully they at least do it for the ps5 pro.

I've read that it's just a fake HDR patch and that it's honestly better to just keep it turned off - but I've also read they patched the patch it to make it better. I'm 2 mins in, trudging through the snow and Arthur and Micah are looking a bit cartooney.
